Pesantren, or Islamic boarding schools, have economic value that can be used for agricultural purposes. Yet, many pesantren are not optimized as the source of expected millennial farmers. Meanwhile, the number of young farmers is declining. With the advantage and characteristics of pesantren, farming should be encouraged together.
