Palm oil plantations in Indonesia have received sharp criticism from some parties, especially in relation to the management of palm oil plantations which some parties consider to be environmentally unfriendly, and which is the cause of deforestation in Indonesia. Apart from criticism and pressure on national palm oil exploitation, this palm oil commodity is the dominant foreign exchange contributor and is the belle of national exports until the second quarter of 2020.
