Currently, the problem of plastic waste in the ocean has become a global issue and one of the key point of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDG’s poin 14 is inherently related to the issue of marine ecosystems and how do we contribute an appropriate responses and efforts in order to overcome these challenges. Responding to this issue, the Directorate of Scientific Publication and Strategic Information (DPIS) IPB University held a discussion about recent impact of marine debris and its management system. This event is an integral part of the science to policy interface that was conducted by the collaboration with DPIS IPB University, Conservation Strategy Fund (CSF) Indonesia and IPB University’s Tropical Marine Economics Study Program.
