The government continues to optimize the yield of oil palm plantations in Riau. One of the efforts is to provide institutional strengthening training for planters. According to data from the Directorate General of Plantation, the area of oil palm in Riau Province reaches 3.38 million hectares. This area is number one in Indonesia, 20.08 percent of the total area of Indonesian oil palm 16.8 million hectares.
