The development of technological innovation from eel fishing activities was carried out by identifying the types of fishing gear used by fishermen in catching eel seeds (glass eel) and parent eels. Efficiency and effectiveness of eel and parent seed catchers are carried out through catch studies categorized into targets and bycatch. The information obtained from the results of the activities of catching the seed / parent eel becomes a parameter in estimating the efficiency of the catching tool of the seed / parent eel. Furthermore, improvements were made in fishing technology that can improve the quality of eel / parent eel seeds and environmentally friendly fishing gear.
